Eastern Long Island Basketball has a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, unsportsmanlike conduct or behavior by an individual (players, participants, coaches, officials, spectators, or parents) including theft of personal property, purposeful destruction of school property or causing physical harm to others. Eastern Long Island Basketball reserves the right to suspended players, without refund, if these behaviors are identified at the discretion of Eastern Long Island Basketball.
This unwanted behavior includes hanging on, dunking, removing or otherwise using the lower rims (when fastened on the original rim) in a manner that is unsafe for players, coaches or any other person on the playing floor. If you are given a warning more than once your behavior is subject to being told to leave the gym for the duration of the practice/game. Continued warnings will result in being permanently banned from being present on the gym floor during practices or games, up to and including permanent suspension from the basketball program.
Depending on the severity of the situation, a player may be given a partial suspension from the program, with an opportunity to improve their behavior. If the situation is a distraction to the team or a safety issue, the player may be subject to a permanent suspension from the basketball program.
No refunds will be issues if any suspensions, or removal from the program takes place.
